Abstract

Dietary fiber is an important component of a balanced diet and plays a significant role in maintaining normal digestive function. This study examines the association between dietary fiber intake and digestive health among adults. Fiber consumption is assessed through intake of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and other fiber-rich foods. Digestive health is evaluated based on bowel regularity, constipation, abdominal discomfort, bloating, stool consistency, and overall gastrointestinal well-being. The findings suggest that individuals with higher dietary fiber intake are more likely to experience regular bowel movements and fewer digestive complaints. In contrast, low fiber consumption may be associated with constipation, irregular bowel habits, and reduced digestive comfort. Adequate hydration and healthy lifestyle practices may further support the beneficial effects of fiber intake. The study highlights the importance of increasing dietary fiber through natural food sources to promote digestive health and improve overall nutritional well-being among adults.
