Abstract

Fruit and vegetable consumption is an important component of a healthy diet and may contribute to improved physical and overall health. This study examines the relationship between fruit and vegetable intake and general health among adults. Dietary intake is assessed through frequency, portion size, variety, and regularity of fruit and vegetable consumption. General health is evaluated using self-reported physical well-being, energy levels, digestive health, body weight, and the presence of common health complaints. The findings suggest that individuals with higher fruit and vegetable intake tend to report better general health, improved energy, healthier body weight, and fewer lifestyle-related complaints. In contrast, low intake may be associated with poorer dietary quality and less favorable health outcomes. The study highlights the importance of encouraging regular consumption of a variety of fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet to support overall health and reduce the risk of chronic disease.
