Abstract

Hospital resource planning software provides an integrated platform for managing bed allocation, staff scheduling, inventory control, and emergency response across healthcare facilities. This study examines a centralized system that collects real-time data from wards, departments, pharmacies, laboratories, and emergency units to support efficient resource use. Automated bed tracking helps identify available, occupied, reserved, and isolation beds, while staff scheduling tools balance workloads, shifts, skills, and leave requirements. Inventory modules monitor medicines, medical supplies, equipment, and expiry dates to reduce shortages and waste. During emergencies, the software can prioritize critical patients, coordinate teams, allocate ambulances, and provide rapid operational alerts. Management dashboards display occupancy, staffing levels, supply status, and response performance for timely decision making. Role-based access, audit trails, and secure data handling improve accountability. Overall, the system can reduce delays, strengthen preparedness, improve resource utilization, and support coordinated hospital operations during routine and emergency conditions across departments and care locations.
